Resources > Exercises > The Costume Room

Close your eyes and imagine yourself in the costume room of a theatre. Look around at all there is to see among the rows of costumes, the hats, the shoes, whatever you see... (pause)

As you look about you, you may be drawn to one costume in particular. Have a good look at it and note all the details. What are you doing and what are you feeling as you handle this particular costume? Imagine that you are allowed to take it and put it on... What happens?... (pause)

When you're ready put the costume back where you found it and in your own clothes return to this room. When you are ready open your eyes.

In whatever way makes sense to you draw the images during this experience on paper.
